PSA for anyone falling for the clickbait headline: 1. it'll only affect PUBLIC /DISCOVERABLE/ servers. Not just normal public servers 2. it'll only affect NEW messages, not old ones 3. it's trying to address "everything lives in discord and not in public forum/wikis"

Original Dexerto headline: "Discord will soon make public server messages searchable on Google". The headline is crossed out with a big "bait alert!!!!" label, and below it is corrected: "Discord will attempt to address the problem where you need to join a discord to access wiki information and/or announcements for some game"

something that I've always taken a very mild issue with is when people say "you're used to seeing yourself in games" because like, no I'm not, unless my entire stock in my identity is just being a white guy, I am very much not those guys
