#WarriorNun Fan Fiction Book Club Week 2 discussion starts here! This is one of my favorites. The premise, the framing, the writing, all of it comes together and the result is something complex and funny and special. I cycled between laughter, tears, and a giant grin the whole time I was reading.

Next week's #WarriorNun Fan Fiction Book Club reading will be cooking with my (dead) mom, by jtl07! I adore this fic. Link to the fic is here: archiveofourown.org/works/56261629 We'll be chatting here and on Tumblr (and I think I'm leading off the discussion this week 😬), I hope you'll join us!

Image of a poster in the style of a light mode archive of our own webpage with multiple tabs named after common tropes, such as slow burn, hurt slash comfort, and alternate universe. The text is formatted like an archive of our own fic entry and reads as follows: Weekly Fanfiction Book Club There’s no such thing as too many Avatrice tabs. Pick one tab. Read it. Come scream about it with us. Every week, one member chooses a one-shot or short fic for everyone to read, then we'll gather on on Bluesky and Tumblr to discuss it together. We'll talk about our favourite moments, character, themes, and all the feelings in between. Then we’ll each leave a comment to show some love to the authors! This week’s pick by @alms4oblivion is "cooking with my (dead) mom" by jtl07. Discussion will be held on Bluesky and Tumblr on the 15th of August 2026. The following text is formatted in black text on a gray rectangle in the style of archive of our own’s filter section, and contains the following information: Requirements for the fic chosen to be read are just that it is either a one-shot or a completed short fic under 50,000 words. If you're interested in choosing the next read: You can either host a week where you'll choose a fic and lead the discussion or recommend a fic by sending us a suggestion for the future week. Drop a message to @drizzleoftherain.bsky.social, @alms4oblivion.bsky.social, or @maxmayo11.bsky.social to get started!
