The size of the Boreal Forest in Canada.... it can't be raked....hot dry weather and changing winds from climate change have screwed everything up

Danielle Smith has misled Albertan's on the new AI center's electricity use... She's talked a lot about minimal water use as well... But what happens when we look at the water use of the dedicated power plant? It could have a much bigger impact than she says. #abpoli

I’m finding myself increasingly horrified at how low some politicians go. They’re willing to lie despite being fact-checked, they’re willing to downplay horrors, and they’re willing to legitimize icky influencers. It's also, awkwardly, a disproportionate problem within the Conservative Party:

WOW!!!!! With concerns growing that the separatists could have used the electors lists to potentially falsify thousands or hundreds of thousand of signatures... Even if people request it, the UCP's changes to the law prevent EA from investigating... Or removing those names.

David Parker has released a statement from the Centurion Project, in which he says people accessing the database “did not have access to phone numbers or emails.” He did NOT say they didn’t have access to “addresses.” Probably because they did. So uh, yeah.

Statement from David Parker, posted on Twitter:

STATEMENT FROM THE CENTURION PROJECT:
The Centurion Project was established to train volunteers to be better citizens by partaking in the political process.
Volunteers utilized the Centurion App database to find people they know. They did not have access to phone numbers or emails.
The Centurion Project relied on a third party to provide us with datasets for this tool.
The Centurion Project is aware of recent allegations regarding the app's data. We have taken action to shutdown the app until we can ensure that the dataset is compliant with Alberta and Federal privacy laws.
The Centurion Project plans to fully comply with Elections Alberta's investigation.

The separatists in Alberta apparently published a searchable database with the private information — including names and addresses — of almost three million people in Alberta. Holy fucking shit. For context, the population of Alberta is just over 5 million people. Here's what we know:

“This will force some people with diagnoses of dementia to make the decision to die of suicide if they want to avoid the course they explicitly sought to avoid – one without capacity or autonomy.” MAID clinicians are speaking out against the UCP’s attacks on medical choice.

AOC: I want everybody to understand that the cuts to your health care are what’s paying for this. You get screwed over to pay a bunch of thugs in the street that are shooting mothers in the face.

The shift strong-arms doctors but hasn’t saved money or shortened waits for critical operations, sources say. A Tyee investigation.
