I feel like the use of “Isn’t She Lovely?” in the Digital Circus finale is less about praising the Jax we see in the show (who I would hardly call lovely), and more a way to mourn the healthy Jax who could have been if she ended up like Lee and didn’t succumb to her worst vices.
As a neurodivergent I need to make a confession: We need to go back to saying “rizz” because I cannot socially handle saying in public that I love glazing my friends

From Season 1 a decade ago, all the way to today…I can’t believe how lucky I am to be on this journey with you all. And were I to wake up to find it all undone & we were starting over From Zero… I’d be just as ready to tackle it all over again. Here’s to the rest of Season 4, and what lies ahead.
…Huh. I do relate a lot to Pomni, Gangle, and Kinger. I probably don’t relate to Caine as much you might expect because he’s a lot more like me when I was younger compared to me at 32. Post Episode 9 Caine I can see myself relating to more, anyway!

The good ending! I admit as a cis guy I’ve struggled about how to approach Jax’s pronouns. I’ve heard mixed things about using a trans person’s correct pronouns if they aren’t out yet - and Jax never got the chance to open up about that. But if Goose refers to Jax as she, that works for me!

Just to clarify, I never said abstraction is or isn’t reversible; Goose has previously stated that abstraction is permanent. What I wrote is more to say that abstraction is functionally its own thing, and it reminds me of a number of topics that aren’t necessarily death or suicide.

How everyone visits Jax and the other abstractions also reminds me of visiting a loved one in long-term care or inpatient treatment.

As Digital Circus ends, I can’t thank all of you enough for being a part of this incredible ride with me. I’ve felt like the luckiest man in the world voicing Caine, and I can’t wait to share with you the projects I’m working on going forward! Be good to each other. Alex out.
The underlying idea of Leeroy at the end is to keep holding on, no matter how bad it gets, and to let others in to help you. You never know what’s on the horizon and you CAN make changes to make your life better, so don’t give into despair.

The moment that made me start sobbing when I read the script was the scene between Caine and the Moon. “You know, I never programmed you to say you loved me.” “I know.” This is my personal favourite scene in the show. We don’t have to be our worst moments - love is what makes us, what saves us.
