Two quotes: Miyamoto and Aonuma on RAM constraints for Hyrule Field in the OG Ocarina of Time Source: GlitterBerri's Game Translations (1998) and GDC (1999) #Zelda #OcarinaOfTimeQuote #AonumaQuote, #MiyamotoQuote glitterberri.com/ocarina-of-t... www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9Dl...
![PEOPLE:
- Eiji Aonuma, age 35. Ocarina of Time Dungeon Director.
- Shigeru Miyamoto, age 46. Ocarina of Time Producer.
QUOTE:
Aonuma: It began with Miyamoto saying “I want to put in a horse [in Ocarina of Time]”. He had mentioned that it has to feel amazing, riding a horse. In the beginning we put in so many trees, but they were becoming obstacles so we gradually removed them and in the end the wilderness disappeared. It feels good to grow up and ride a horse through the wide world you discovered as a child.
The map design nearly made me cry. “Just make it big,” we were told! [laughs] We created a variety of systems, and we did what we could with the amount of time we had but there was no way we could have implemented enemies as well.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:2e7f2uvcguv4d5qxqnyjmk32/bafkreibdbvock6t7fz5gh5yhq2ppmtakc6cu2ivrogayhowrnwmh73ssza)

- Shigeru Miyamoto, age 46. Creator of Zelda, Mario, & more.
QUOTE:
Miyamoto: Let us recall Hyrule Field, the great plain in [Ocarina of Time]. The characters that appear in the field actually share their RAM.
That is, we have in the field the great bird Gaebora and the skeleton enemies. Then once the bird has left the field, the Marathon Man will appear. When Link becomes an adult, then the horse comes into play … And this time, only ghosts appear. So in this instance we actually wrote the scenario to match these design specifications.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:2e7f2uvcguv4d5qxqnyjmk32/bafkreibmhl35dadig3b4kextucg2tz6jn534h3u3ipxtluo3exii2ai2i4)

"The Lord of Darkness" ft. Ganondorf from the Legend of Zelda.👑 This is 4th major revision of this art from 2020: I wanted to really nail it this time after the news of another Ocarina of Time remake (fitting). Old versions in the comments. #art #legendofzelda #ocarinaoftime #ganondorf #nintendo
A particular boy who DOES have a fairy! Happy ocarina release day, everyone!! #loz #legendofzelda #oot #ocarinaoftime
Fascinating, so Kingdom Hearts III is in fact more like the 10th game of the series you say. #kingdomhearts #xmen
#ocarinaoftime #zelda #tloz リメイク発売おめでとうございます🎉 オリジナルで子供時代と大人時代で身長差が逆転するのが好きでした！ Congratulations on the release! I really liked how, in the original version, the height difference between the childhood and adult versions was reversed!
