YAAAAAYYYYY! 🎉🎉🎉 Group banners on #VRChat will finally be consistent and predictable across the various croppings in-game and on web! No more guesswork!

Tupper - VRChat Head of Community Hi all! Group banners on the new nameplate are getting a pass. We're making the crop position predictable rather than what it does today, and including a way for it to anchor predictably against the top of the nameplate. It will anchor consistently and match against the collapsed nameplate to the expanded/QM version so you aren't designing against two different windows at once. We'll publish documentation on how the banner gets positioned and cropped so you can actually design around it instead of guessing. This will include an official template image you can work off of! I'm attaching our current draft copy of the template. Don't use this yet, it isn't ready, but it'll give you an idea of what it will look like. Separately, we're looking at a nameplate-specific banner upload so one image doesn't have to work everywhere. More details on that to come. Finally, this isn't looking like it'll be backwards-compatible with the previous group banner images. However, I don't think anyone's going to be _too_ torn up about that, since the trade is that, going forward, we'll have predictable behavior for these images.WIP banner templateMan freed from chains
