It's one of the most common questions about asylum. Refugees don't just need safety. They need family, community and the chance to rebuild their lives. International law doesn't require people to seek asylum in the first safe country they reach. History shapes journeys.

If this isn't just words, then its progress. But, the question remains, why do @policescotland.bsky.social not just arrest on sight? Less resourses and time used than setting up a special unit to catch the nazis later. They do a salute, you arrest them. It then stops others from doing the same.

As the aftermath of this plays out there is a pattern we've all seen before. Paramilitary connected loyalists were involved. PS have notoriously ignored their crimes in Scotland before & continue to do so now. PS knew the all the groups responsible wanted violence & they allowed their thuggery.

The Language Hub in Partick - a multilingual social library is closing due to persistent visits from the far-right who have been demanding answers on whether they work with refugees or asylum seekers. These victories for fascists is what feeds their growth. They are organised! We need to wake up!
