I haven’t watched the news in some time, and I don’t generally watch videos of him. It’s been a while. But I’m sitting in the laundromat, the sound is thankfully off on the television, and he’s on. I’m struck by how the man appears to contain no joy. His smile is emptier than my gas tank.

I have been eating poorly the last two days because some stressful things are happening in the lark household. I will mail your stuff Friday. I will eat better Thursday. Everything is going to be okay. I’m going to tap into my breath because it’s always there.
