#askbox It's so much!! I haven't finished Justine yet but it's certainly a heavy but fascinating read. Reading it while thinking about what Hatsune would get out of it just hurts so much--in the book it's actually all the adults, which rings true for Hatsune ☹️
Wow, Ave Mujica's really good. I could write thousands of posts about this I think
Greatest Umiri moment ever was when Doloris was like "Do you regret destroying the world? 🥺" and Timoris was immediately like "Of course not 😂" and freaked her the heck out
#askbox Oh there's so much I like about her! For starters her aesthetic is so good, I really like gender non-conforming girls and I latched onto Timoris' design hard back when we didn't know anything about the characters (still very !!! about her new outfit in Our Notes... LOVE her gentleman vibe)
#askbox Yes, it is! Ave Mujica's lyricist confirmed in an interview that the song Sophie is inspired by the book (second image) I actually started a list of referenced media in Ave Mujica here if you're interested: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...
#askbox Oh this is mostly me reading in between the lines, if anyone interprets her situation in a different way I totally get why! Since it's not directly stated. But the implications in eps 11+12 seem to be that Sadaharu provides her with housing, but only if she works under his control
The scary thing about Sophie existing is that if you actually read Justine, the opening premise of the book feels just a little bit too close to things Hatsune actually experiences in her own life Like.
Been reading through Justine to better appreciate Sophie's messages and it's not rocket science why Hatsune resonated with this one huh
Actually one more thing: I want to really stress here that I'm aware everything in the CBT is a work-in-progress, and my intent in sharing these things is to make these mistakes known so that there's a higher chance others submit feedback about them. The translation is as important as functionality!
Currently playing Uika Misumi Simulator cause every time Sakiko walks in the store I start clapping and sweating and then when she leaves without talking to Uika I feel very sad (I just want to proc their dialogue together but it takes SO LONG) (If anyone sees screenshots please show me--)
Ave Mujica's Anon Tokyo worker dialogue (this is the official translation)
Bushiroad got a popular Uisaki fanartist to draw Our Notes promotional art???? They usually commission artists I've never seen in the fandom so I'm shocked to see someone I actually recognize
#askbox Sakiko composes them first! From episode 1 right before the flashback sequence: "Uika needs time to be able to write the lyrics, so I need to have two songs done by this weekend at the latest." Imprisoned XII is the only confirmed exception
I love Ricochi's voice so much. Obviously her singing but there's something to the way she talks normally too that's very entertaining to me. She puts emphasis on syllables and words in a way that makes her so fun to listen to! (And her Hatsune voice acting is so perfect.......)
This isn't about anyone in particular and is also not limited to this platform, but I'd like to reiterate that I want my accounts to be a safe space where we can discuss Ave Mujica in a positive manner. I do see the comments that get left on my translations and the Mujica Updates account--
#askbox I'm glad! And not just that, but her keyboard playing is intended to represent how she "comforts" Hatsune (I think Ricochi has described it as the piano snuggles up with her tight and that's a perfect way to put it). You can see this in their First Love cover! www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX3O...
Oh the aesthetic for this one is so GOOD. Exactly the kind of outfit I wanted them to put Timmy in 🙏
Timoris' SSR animation! #ournotes
Went to look at something in ep11's script and I'm soooooo normal about this actually
Randomly thinking. Does Hatsune call her Saki-chan in hiragana because unlike the other characters she wasn't ever told how to write the kanji for her name...?
#askbox Not that I can recall! The implication seems to be that Hatsune got it from Kiyotsugu. Right after she says "And I want to see Saki-chan!" to him at the debut concert, the background is filled with her texts to Sakiko while she talks about how she'd "made a mistake"
Compiling this sent me cause of every episode in the show I had the most to link about the one that is completely and utterly void of Uika
#askbox I didn't, but now I do! hanamukes.tumblr.com/analyses I've written... way, way too many posts about this band, so I hope you can forgive me for not linking to my Bluesky ones just yet. There was a ton even without those. I'm gonna dig around this account and add them over time :)

Throwback to when they did the retrospective on ep2 and they pointed out how sketchy this scene is
