I think, besides cutscenes, if your game has a mechanic for autobattles or skipping stuff... ... You need to rework your combat system, and remove the skippable mechanic. Having an "Auto" mode for your combat is admitting your combat sucks. Having a "Skip" is admitting your mechanic sucks.
