In this illustration, Bubb et al. highlight a lightning bolt striking rare hematopoietic and leukemic stem cells. The lightning bolt represents the extracellularly linked concatemeric trivalent cytokine, or ELECTRIC, approach, in which the apex of healthy and malignant hematopoiesis is eliminated with a targeted non-genotoxic cell therapy to enable hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
