Proud to have taken the Victims and Courts Bill through its committee stage in my role as a Government Whip. The Bill will compel offenders to attend their sentencing hearing among other vital changes to put victims at the heart of the justice system.

I this week's Chester Standard column, I reflect on the extraordinary role Chester North & Neston played in WWII, as we mark 80 years since VE Day. From sheltering evacuees to powering wartime industry, our communities helped shape victory — and they deserve to be remembered. 👇

A change on the green Commons benches today! A big shout-out to Connie and Phoebe, the Cheshire West and Chester members of the UK Youth Parliament. I had the pleasure to meet them recently and hear about their work and the priorities of young people in our area. Hope you both had a brilliant day!

Today we had a visit from Chester MP Samantha Dixon to our Chester centre. We first welcomed Samantha for our Open Day back in 2023 and it was fantastic to have her back to show her how the centre has progressed in the past 2 years and all of the support that we continue to offer 💗
