Earlier this week, I had the honor of meeting with the Canadian Inter Parliamentary Group, which included members of Parliament & Canadian Consul General. We had a frank discussion on the nature of the relationship between the US & CA & discussed ways we can work together to improve relationships.
Today, we reflect on the tragedy we experienced as a nation and how we all came together afterward. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
On September 11, we remember the lives lost and the first responders and everyday heroes who showed extraordinary courage. We honor their memory by caring for one another, strengthening our communities, and continuing to build a democracy rooted in the values that unite us. Today, we remember. 💙

Students are returning to school with historic investments. From free breakfast and lunch to mental health support, literacy programs, classroom funding, and college affordability, Michigan's FY27 budget is helping ensure every student has the resources they need to learn, grow, and succeed.

Today, we broke ground on the new 38th District Court in Eastpointe. I am so proud of the partnership with the city that resulted in $9 million in state funding to make this much needed project happen.
🧵In addition to protecting essential services, increasing education funding, and continuing free school meals for all students, I am so proud to have been able to secure much needed infrastructure funding for Fraser Public Schools and additional funding for the 38th District Courthouse.

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of attending a ribbon cutting ceremony for the 13 Mile Road Pump Station in Roseville. It was an honor to work with the city to secure this funding and I am glad to see the project finished!
