While employed at Fat Wreck I got to work on / around a couple Sick Of It All releases. Absolute gents. I'm not a "hardcore kid" by any definition, but as far as I'm concerned, SOIA was the first and the best. Lou Koller was an all-timer and he's on the Mount Rushmore of punks. Legend.
I just told Ty from Broadway Calls that I listened to some of the Joe Rogan podcast with JD Vance and he was audibly disappointed with me, haha.
I disagree with virtually everything Lindsey Graham stood for, BUT let's remember him for the ~2 weeks in January 2021 where he was like, "Yeah, I didn't like the MAGA lynch mob coming to kill me or how they smeared their own feces in the Capitol..." He was a bold patriot for those couple weeks. 🫡
Check my bracket, I have England winning the tournament. They've stood by Ukraine more than any nation, and deserve the good karma. But that was not the same team that beat Mexico, as they relied on VAR and flopping to win. 👎 So it goes. Now if these guys don't beat Argentina I WILL BE SO ANNOYED.
There are no rules in soccer and I guess it makes it more entertaining. Been a certified ref since 93, and offsides is more confusing than ever. GER (and Iran, et al) had goals taken away and I guess that's more fun/dramatic? VAR allows them to put a thumb on the scale, and everyone loves WWE, so...

Dang, it took a perfect storm to unseat the People's Champ, Jamie Ding. That was like a Black Arrow vs. Dragon Smaug scenario. And Jeopardy had to resort to devious means in order to take him down: bring in a gay and load up the categories with fashion and Broadway. Helluva run either way. 🫡 🧡

I stopped watching the NBA when they stole the Sonics, and now some rich jerk is gonna bring them back and (mark my words) demand the city pay for new facilities. Ugh. Plus, the product sucks: superteams, load management, tanking. Teams score 130+ points... and lose. NO THANKS.

I know there's death afoot and things far more important than sport, but this makes me so sad. I've been to multiple WCs and it's a celebration of humanity on a planet-wide scale. It's THE MOST fun. Disappointing that today's leaders have sullied that for the world.

Had a 10pm soccer game and scored, NBD. No really, we lost by like 8 goals, so it didn't matter. Anyhow, I went and got a Shamrock Shake after the game and it reminded me that Bar Dust is bringing their Pogues party to the land very soon. You should go, they're super fun.
Friends, if we wanna vanquish evil, we gotta read a book per month. They can even be bad and/or short books. Grateful they went with TESB instead of this original sequel. 😅 And please read Snyder's "History and Liberty" epilogue from "On Tyranny" next time you're in a bookstore. It's like 4 pages.
