I have to submit a 5 year post-tenure work plan, and tbh I want the first year just to be READING In the rush to publish, teach, and do more service pre-tenure, I feel like I have gotten away from simply reading to learn---and to inspire new ideas and research questions

I am consistently saddened by the fact that I had to obtain an OFAC license (due to US sanctions) to interview members of M23 and the FDLR for my dissertation on the ICC investigation in DRC, and now I'd likely have to obtain a license to interview ICC personnel (due to US sanctions)
