Happy birthday to Geddy Lee, born on this day in 1953 in Toronto! The lead vocalist, bassist and keyboardist of Rush, he is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and has the Order of Canada. An asteroid is also named for him. 📸 Wikicommons (Ralph_PH)

Mark Carney, in announcing Canada's uocoming submarine purchase called the subs "the 2112's" (apparently they are the 212's). "2112" would be a fantastic call sign for our subs since in terms of the world's waterways the Canadian position would be - "we have assumed control"
