The redness and itchiness from radiation is quickly healing which makes me super happy. I began my endocrine therapy yesterday but more importantly Todd and I went to Lucky Strike and I won almost every game we played together, he may be pressed about it.

What do you call a group of goblins? Don't Google it, wrong answers only.
Just wanted to hop on here to say thank you to everyone who has reached out these last few months, I know I haven't been great about responding to messages and I so appreciate everyone being so patient with me. I'm more tired than I think I've ever been in my life but I'm in the home stretch.
Look at my son (the shiny Arcane Heist Bilbo card). To achieve the "invisible" look I used a silver 3D hot stamp on just his outlines. I hope everyone can appreciate his shiny hobbit foot hair. #wotcstaff
I forgot to post that it was my 1 year of Magic anniversary on the 14th! It's been a wonderfully wild ride, fulfilling in all the ways I wanted, and challenging in every way I needed. The things I've worked on are finally being released and it's so rewarding to see how excited players are.
Treatment day 12 of 20!! It's going by so fast, but not fast enough! Physical side effects are super minimal so far (no superhuman strength, booo), it's just the fatigue that's catching up with me. 😪
Everyone shut up, Pixies just dropped Complete B Sides: 1988-97 (Remaster)
The urge to ask the other women in the radiation waiting room "whatcha in for" in my raspiest NY accent. It's so weird because you see the same people everyday, do we become besties?? Do we ignore each other?? I know people are going through it so I try to be mindful. But intrusive thoughts.
Good morning to everyone except for Lestat's mother. God I hope they get past this plotline soon.
This whole thing has been one big learning experience about how radiation clinics have a surprising lack of interest in protecting your skin, or maybe that's just mine. They all look at me like I have two heads. Luckily I had enough anxiety to do all my own research 😅
Day 1/20 for Radiation Therapy. No spider powers yet, will report back tomorrow.
Just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that today may be a little hard for some, but happy Father's Day to all you dads out there.
The interesting thing about oysters is that they're really disgusting looking.
Feeling very fashionable in my hospital gown this morning. Got my sweet registration tattoos for radiation today so they know where to aim the beams. I'm half tempted to get cmyk print registration tattoos over them once this part is done.
I've had two people tell me I'm the reason they finally got a mammogram, and that makes me so incredibly happy.
This was a good week, Todd announced he's a full time employee at Legends of Avantris, and my health situation improved. I have my radiation simulation on Monday and expect to have super powers by the end of it. Superhero (or villain?) origin story incoming.
Ever since google bought fitbit my notifications have been passive aggressive like "it's day two of your cycle and I noticed you have been lethargic, the sun will be out in exactly 18 minutes, you should go walk in it". Or "Hey we noticed you didn't wear your watch to bed again".
I think because I'm "safe" now I'm able to process what has happened and how weird it is to have adapted so quickly to things. Our brains really are just trying to keep us alive.
If solving puzzles and problems is good for long term cognitive function, I'm in the right place. Every project is so unique and comes with its own learning curve. There's no autopilot here and I don't know if many people know how much love and work goes into each individual card. #wotcstaff
Also, I have such little tolerance these days, which is kinda what I needed tbh. People and things I don't have the energy for, less time thinking about how to respond and more time focusing on things that bring joy. Block finger is stronger than ever and I don't feel bad for not replying.
For anyone who might've not gotten my update from GoFundMe, I don't have to do chemo! So I don't have to make all those "bald hot girl summer" jokes I had tucked away. Anyways, I got new heart shaped glasses to celebrate.✌️
Just a reminder that the spiders you notice in the spring and early summer have actually lived inside your house all year.
In celebration of world goth day, I forgot it was world goth day. Then I went to see The Devil Wears Prada 2, it was so good!
Instead of asking me how I'm doing, try asking these instead! 1. Will I get to shave my head and dress up as Annie Lennox for Halloween? (I'll know in June!) 2. Do I regret not becoming a cyborg? (Yes) 3. When will I have time to seek out the dark forces and join their hellish crusade? (Soon!)
I was going to post about how annoying it is to get unsolicited medical advice but instead I'll just post an update. I'm healing nicely from the surgery! I really don't think the incisions will be visible in a year. And I should know what my treatment plan will be the first week of June.
I've been in such a tea mood lately that we took a little trip up to @fridaytea.com and got some goodies! What a lovely little shop and even lovelier owner. And look! It turns blue!! (It looks more purple in these pics)
Sharing because doing an everything shower is no easy feat after you've had nodes removed from your ARMPIT. Ow. Did I mention that my nodes are negative? Despite having no cancer in them all they do is complain.
Some of my favorite things people have said to me since my diagnosis. 1. I would just get the free boob job (it's so much more complicated than that) 2. Don't get radiation therapy (as if I have a choice?) 3. Bee venom shrinks tumors (cool, I'll run out and get stung immediately)
Me: I think I'd be a really good metal singer if I yawned every time I screamed Todd: Yeah, it would be mostly morning gigs Mind you, he's had no coffee, he is just like this.
