Post-grad #nurses in Luxembourg had the opportunity to test the #VR developed by the partner @HealthyMind. Their feedback was positive, with many of them open to using the new solutions developed by the @KEEPCARING project in the future.

#EFN brought @KEEPCARING Project at the University of Luxembourg, where 50 post-grad #nurses were presented the main project developments, including the clinical studies, and KEEPCARING CMP - many of them said that they can picture themselves accessing it in the near-future.

The 3rd @ICUData4EU Project General Assembly concluded with an interesting discussion on the project’s next steps, including with regards to the creation of synergies with other EU projects, as well as how to strengthen the project’s long-term sustainability. #nurses #digitalisation #EHDS

The #EFN attended the first day of the 3rd @ICUData4EU Project General Assembly, that featured an opening keynote by the European Commission DG CNECT Project Officer responsible for the project, and presentations by the Work Packages’ leaders on the project’s developments.

The #EFN attended the first day of the 3rd #keepcaringproject General Assembly, in Copenhagen. Day 1 featured presentations by the Work Packages’ leaders on the project’s developments and next steps, and presentations on ongoing and upcoming intervention studies. #nurses #wellbeing #mentalhealth

At the Implementation Dialogue, #EFN stressed that #HERA’s mandate must be expanded to coordinate the #healthworkforce planning and deployment in crisis times, otherwise having enough MCMs will not be sufficient.

As the united voice for nurses in the EU, EFN was invited by Commissioner @hadjalahbib, to #HERA #ImplementationDialogue on Medical Countermeasures Strategy, where #nurses’ perspective is key to strengthen frontline exploitation to prepare the EU for the next health crisis.

SANT committee discussed digital health, including in relation to health workforce sustainability & capacity development. This is crucial, as it links to crisis prepardness, AI, EHDS & Cybersecurity, on which co-creation with frontline nurses is key to ensure patients’ safety.

EFN lobbying the EP SANT committee which endorsed SANT opinion to EMPL INL on Psychosocial Risks, that includes recommendations on Safe Staffing Levels, and recognises that nurses, together with doctors, are the EU professions facing the greatest exposure to psychosocial risks.

Today #EFN participated in the SESAM-WHO collaborative event at #WHOAcademy. The main takeaway was that simulation, co-created with #nurses, can play an important role as a tool for #workforcepreparedness, #patientsafety, #emergencyreadiness and #healthsystemresilience.

#EFN today attended the meeting of the National Focal Points in the #NursingAction, raising the need for #APN & #SSL as urgent measures to improve recruitment pipelines. Tony Fitzpatrick, EFN #WorkforceCommittee lead, shared key experiences on #nursingrecruitment from Ireland.

The Finnish delegation visited an elderly home in Brussels, le Sagittaire, with Director Gaetan Meuleman, who developed an innovative train station to be used for clients with dementia; the results are impressive: less agitation, less stress, less medication. #IND2026

To conclude their week in Brussels, the Finnish nurses visited an elderly care home, where they learned more on projects put in place, namely to support in caring those elderly with dementia. #IND2026 @EFNBrussels

In the context of the #IND2026, the Finnish nurses’ delegation met with their Belgium colleagues from AUVB-UGIB for a twinning experience, taking the opportunity to share common experiences and best practices. #IND2026 @EFNBrussels

Present at the EFN Brussels Office, the Finnish nurses’ leaders met the Health attaché of the Permanent Representative of Finland to the EU, Sari Vuorinen, to discuss important EU nursing topics linked to #Education, #Workforce, #QualityofCare. #IND2026 @EFNBrussels

As #IND2026 comes to a close, one thing remains clear: without #nurses, there is no healthcare. The EU and Member States must invest in #safestaffing, decent #workingconditions, and long-term solutions to the nursing shortages. @EFNBrussels
