With the same election outcomes databases, like those shown on election night coverage, gerrymandering is now informed by past election outcomes. More than simple party declarations. Bad when politicians pick their voters, disallowing voters to pick their politicians fairly.

This is a useful graphic to understand and share with others when discussing redrawing maps for redistricting. You can see by the example that a 60% blue state could end up with a majority of districts that are red. You can see what is meant by compact (close together) and fair or not fair.

Graphic to explain gerrymandering. They show three different ways to divide 50 people into five districts. 60% are blue, 40% are red in each example. 1. A perfect representation would be 3 blue districts, and 2 red districts. 2. An example of districts being compact (close together physically) but unfair would be to have 6 blue people and 4 red people in each group so that there are 5 blue Districts. 3. Another example ha 2 districts all blue,and 3 districts with 6 red and 4 blue yielding 3 red districts and 2 blue ones.

For the first time in decades, consensus broke at the UN Commission on the Status of Women. The United States cast the lone “no” vote on a document aimed at improving justice systems for women and girls worldwide. Misogyny is the official policy of the US under Trump.

In Trump's first term, he was directly responsible for 25% OF ALL US DEBT acquired – going back to the beginning of the country. In the last 9.5 months, he's added another $4 Trillion to the national debt. Scream this at every Republican who claims they're the party of fiscal responsibility.
