Yeah, this. I clocked the people at the time who jumped in with the most sensationalist commentary on something they could not possibly have had a full understanding of. They have not endeared themselves to me.

I imagine the comics people whose posts I remember very clearly from the beginning of all of this are now going to be quiet on this topic. But no doubt they’ll be promoting themselves in another pile-on soon (as I’ve seen them do before). Be better.
It's been a very stark reminder to me personally that I don't need to comment on everything and that waiting for the full, or at least more contextualized, story is always a good idea. Regardless of what's happening, real people are involved & the social media push to react first, ask later = toxic.
