We only made it like 5 songs into Modest Mouse. They sounded good, but it was just a constant crush of people pushing up into us. A college kid was dry heaving in my ear and we had enough. By the time we fought our way back to a place where we could breathe, the sound was shit and we called it.
Possibly not good that the entire stage and sound tent complex had a loud popping noise and lost all power a few minutes before Modest Mouse are supposed to play at this city food festival lol

Most of the way through the mutant synth pop Yoko Ono album from ‘82 that was reissued today, and I gotta say I’m feeling it. The lyrics directly address her wide open emotional wounds from John’s murder, set to music that is so beyond slick that it wraps around to the realm of the bizarre.
