I had no idea the Commonwealth Games was even on till half way through it. Couldn’t watch it as it turns out so I moved on …..

Haven’t walked out of Warboys for maybe a year or so as osteoarthritis took hold - 7 weeks in and this is the furthest I’ve walked - when it’s cooler later in the week I’ll go a bit further .

Can’t begin to tell you how wonderful it is to be mended and back out on the river

Get the stupid weather out of the way today and looks good for the kayak for the next 10 days - gotta love retirement

Drove the car for the first time since total hip replacement and scouted out some Kayak put in places I haven’t used in a few years. New SOT arrives Thursday now just need to renew my river licence.

Done a thing …..,, Out 2 man inflatable is too big and cumbersome for solo trips ….

Many of us have forgotten what rain feels like - not much relief overall

We have always paid the tv license - lots dont I know and it is confusing at times - we use iPlayer a lot and watch live news events plus the BBC radio channels. I guess if we didn’t do any live streaming or watching and ditched the I player and ignored the radio we could live with that.

Any UK Prime Minister who quotes the Smiths has my backing !

End of the month then I can be back at it ….

Saw the consultant who fixed my hip today - he’s very pleased and said o can live life as normal - need to wait a week or so before driving and kayaking . Has given me an appointment in one years time to assess the right hip which for the moment although worn is still working ..

Been busy prepping the caravan for a few trips away September onwards - getting excited to resume the adventure

Watching Christopher Eccleston’s Dr Who - so good. How did it turn into the dross we’ve had to put up with the last few years…..

Fun morning speaking to HMRC. Just keep repeating “speak to an adviser” and the Ai system eventually gets the message and puts you through. Had to hold for 5mins or so , and he was very helpful. The new app is excellent too a good way to keep track of all tax related things.
