The Scholars Programme gives students from non-selective state schools and FE colleges across the UK the opportunity to work with a PhD researcher.
It helps students develop the skills and confidence to thrive in education and ultimately see that university can be a place for them.
We’ve worked with over 950 pupils across Leeds. DfE progression data shows that the overall progression rate to HE in the region is 41%, but 60% of tracked students completing The Scholars Programme between 2016 and 2023 progressed to HE, according to HESA.
