Seahawks BS (Bluesky)

Go Hawks Go Cougs Go Ms #NFLDraft

Key takeaway from Hard Knocks this week was Terrion Arnold's agent reminding John Schneider to not get cute with the push to sign her client. He has multiple (and likely better) offers from other NFL clubs & he wants playing time assurances as well. Could go south fast. Wouldn't be heartbroken. 🤷‍♂️

Former Pro Bowler, Trevon Diggs signs with the Seahawks today. He's everything you didn't like about Riq Woolen with none of the upside. However, the Seahawks are set once again in 2026 with a good mix of youth and aging veterans. John Schneider is playing with the back half of the roster for 2027+

I don't think the Arnold and Diggs stuff is a signal on how the team feels about their CB room tbh. Just low risk opportunistic rostering as well as bottom of depth chart churn. 3rd (outside) CB spot can be made more competitive but most teams would still kill for Spoon+Jobe

The biggest downside case for the Seahawks offense entering 2026 is Sam Darnold's struggles in shotgun. It still signals that he needs to be managed at the QB position and the team is limited to whatever extent in being able to really apply max pressure to opponents with their competitive advantage.

The biggest question (once again) is whether the run game (OL) can manage to be respectable enough to pull those LBs up early in the count. It was mitigated in 2025 once defenses started playing JSN straight up. He had about 1,200 already at that point, so yes, please, drink the oppo Kool Aid again.

What we can expect from Fleury is adherence to the Shanahan tenants but also a desire to play with shotgun & leverage these +WRs. In Preseason Week 1, Fleury ran the ball on 70% of first downs. But I think that's a poker hand. Like in 2025, Seattle will feign run game bias & throw over the top. 🏈

How we doing 12s? Any one get scammed on the all new & improved HBTix? I know it's only been 1 week but it is new & improved after all. How are we feeling about RB & CB so far? We probably won't have any clarity on either until Charbs & Arnold suit up (if at all) well into the season. 👀 #Seahawks

IDK if this is breaking news but the further we get into Training Camp (practice 10 in the books) it's becoming apparent that the kids of this Seahawks offense are alright. Giving this defense fits (pardon the pun) and Brian Fleury is cooking despite still working on his full scheme install #GoHawks

One further: These people don't like sports *in general.* They don't engage with sports *at all* except as a vehicle for bigotry. Do we think Jesse Waters watches enough NFL games to have any coherent takes about strategy? Hell no. These people *hardly enjoy anything at all.*

You mean Fox News and Jesse Watters don't actually care about the WNBA and are just talking about it for ragebait? Who would have thunk it! awfulannouncing.com/wnba/fox-new...

Still puzzled by the idea that a Devon Witherspoon contract extension was imminent. There's no advantage to either side to do a deal with now with a minimum of two more affordable years of club control. Seahawks showing no intention of resetting the market & Spoon not considering giving a discount.🤷‍♂️
