The climate crisis demands informed, connected and courageous young leaders ready to turn knowledge into action. If you're between 16–35, this is an opportunity worth exploring. The future is shaped by those who choose to engage.

I am pleased to share the news that my brother, Dr Kovin Naidoo, has been recognised in the newly launched book, The Unsung Heroes – Volume Four. From our humble beginnings in Chatsworth to his contribution to public health, his journey is a reminder of what commitment to service can make possible.
I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Shanthivathie "Shanthie" Naidoo Tweedie. I had the privilege of knowing Shanthie, though not closely, and always held great respect for her courage, dignity and unwavering commitment to justice.
“Love keeps people alive.” These words from Louisa capture so deeply what the Memorial Forest means to us. For me, this is not only about remembering Riky, Anton Chaka and Frik Grobbelaar. It is about creating a living space where love, grief, healing and hope can exist together.
Thank you to everyone who joined the first session of Global Artivism's Reclaiming How We Measure Movement interactive workshop. Session 2 takes place later today at 5:30 PM UTC. We look forward to continuing this important conversation with you. Join us and Register tinyurl.com/442xpbk7
I am sharing this significant step forward from the first International Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels in Santa Marta. The official Co-Hosts’ Outcome Report, by the Governments of Colombia and the Netherlands, is the multilateral document on transitioning away from fossil fuels.
One of the greatest challenges of our time is not simply confronting the climate crisis—it is ensuring that those on the frontlines are equipped to shape the solutions.
Happy heavenly birthday, Riky Today, we honour your life, your light, and the powerful legacy you left behind. Your music, courage, generosity, and love continue to inspire so many people. We miss you deeply, but your spirit lives on through every life you touched. Forever in our hearts.
We know what must be done. The world must move beyond fossil fuels through a transition that is fast, fair and financed.
Some of the most transformative leaders in our world do not hold high office. They are found in refugee settlements, informal communities—who have experienced unimaginable hardship yet still serve others That is why FOLONA HUB in Uganda's Nakivale Refugee Settlement matters

Culture is the beating heart of climate justice. It helps us make meaning, build courage and move from awareness to action. As we approach #COP31, culture must be placed at the centre of climate action, adaptation and justice. Read more here: www.artshub.com.au/news/opinion...
Culture is the beating heart of climate justice
Artists are a critical part of the fight for climate justice, argues activist and founder of the global 'artivism' movement Kumi Naidoo.

At a time when the climate emergency & failures of our global system exist, the call to democratise international relations is more urgent. Article 109 offers a pathway to renew the UN to fit the realities of this century and make it accountable to the people and planet it was created to serve.
Grateful to the Global South leaders who gathered during London Climate Action Week to reflect on the Santa Marta conference and the path forward. The call is clear: a fast, fair, and funded transition away from fossil fuels, and a @fossiltreaty.bsky.social to help protect the places we live.
During London Climate Action Week, Global South leaders came together to debrief the Santa Marta conference and discuss the path forward.
Fossil fuel dependence is not only driving climate breakdown. It is also creating a habitability crisis, threatening the places people call home, especially for island nations on the front lines of sea level rise. @fossiltreaty.bsky.social
📢 Fossil fuel consumption creates not only an environmental crisis, but also a habitability crisis that affects where and how people live. This is particularly true for island nations threatened by sea level rise. 🌊
The UNFCC is not working as it should, and it must be reformed. In a talk with Matthew Pye, we reflected on why years of climate negotiations have failed to confront fossil fuels with the urgency required and why @fossilfueltreaty.bsky.social is essential
