Song of the Year (Electronic) with ‘In The Sound of Breathing’ at Icelandic Music Awards really does take a village 🫂 thank you Loreen for jumping on a flight to Iceland to create this world together 🤍
we nearly didn't do Sunrise Session this year. as parents will know, it can be hard to plan things when a little baby arrives. but we made the decision to open our family bubble to solstice celebrations and a new, intimate kind of Sunrise Session. thank you for coming with us along the way.
so grateful for the love you’ve shown ‘sunrise session III’. the full EP is out everywhere now 🌞 to everyone who helped bring this to life - thank you. it means a lot to finally share these moments with you. i hope they meet you where you are. to brighter days ahead. Love, Óli

collaboration means a lot to me. it’s how i’ve made some of my favourite music. and how i’ve evolved as an artist (and human!) Like Gravity is our new short film about the collaboration that happens at the heart of Opia Community watch now: youtu.be/pZCpwnk51Nw?...
A new short film about the art of collaboration. Like Gravity is out now. In the autumn of 2025, Maximilian König and Jonas Meyer came into the OPIA world to start a conversation about creative collaboration. Like Gravity is the result. Watch now: youtu.be/pZCpwnk51Nw
A portal opened in Dublin last weekend Fall 2026 can’t come soon enough This is only the start of our journey…

new year, new sunrise sunrise session III out in full now: tr.ee/SunriseSessionIII
already a little brighter today than last week thank you for the amazing reaction to our sunrise session! after a 4 year break maybe these sessions are back to being a yearly thing tr.ee/SunriseSessi...
Sunrise Session III ft Sandrayati, RAKEL & Salóme Katrín on vocals & 4 incredible string players, performing a few songs we felt fit the occasion. On this shortest day of the year, this is our tribute to brighter days ahead. Wishing you all wonderful holidays! Óli https://tr.ee/SunriseSessionIII
2025 was also the year of the first release from my new project, SAGES, with the wonderful Loreen. Finally sharing something that has meant so much to both of us, and had been somewhat secretly working on for a long time.

Another highlight of 2025 was touring with my band Kiasmos from Europe over to Japan and Australia, which is always a great time. We played amazing venues, met awesome people, saw incredible nature, ate the best food, all in all a fantastic time! A big thank you to everyone who came out!
As the end of the year is fast approaching, I wanted to look back at some highlights. Starting with A Dawning, the record by Talos and myself, which was released in July.
I’m happy to say a few choice pieces of new merch made it to the store just in time for the holidays. Glencairn style whisky glasses engraved with the two birds. This is inspired by a gift my agent once gave all the crew at the end of one of our tours! Limited to 50 pieces this time.
A year ago we were shooting this crazy piece of art… SAGES. Been thinking about how much I loved making this film with my dear friend Loreen, our incredible director Þóra Hilmars and crew.
Connected my grand to the Nonlinear Labs C15 via my MIDI sensor bar that we had made for the re:member tour. Little expression pedal by the piano controlling the intensity of the synth layer and you've got hours of fun wholesome ambient family time 😳
Finding an hour or two in the studio recently: Exploring, fixing, playing around.
A few snaps of the A Dawning merch, featuring illustrations by Eoin as seen on the album artwork. Find these lovely tees, notebooks and vinyls in my store. *All proceeds from the Notebook will be going to Marymount Hospice in Cork, Ireland. tr.ee/OAstore
I played some records at Derrick Gee’s house! Been a fan of Derrick Gee for a while and can honestly say he has introduced me to a lot of great music. So I was thrilled to receive an invitation to be a guest on his Solid Air show while I was in Australia on tour with Kiasmos.
