This is actually a very interesting question, thank you for asking! The two driving forces behind me conceiving Axa were to 1) have an Ultraman story where the Ultra themselves is a very talkative character in their own right and has a more defined romance with their host and 2) have an Ultrawoman story with a female lead, because there's not really any of those. And yes, I did want it to be horny, I find the bond between Ultra and host to be inherently erotic. I based Axa's personality around my own personal tastes, making her a haughty ojousama and taking a little bit of inspiration from Kiss-Shot from Monogatari. If you remember the news blog from chapter 1, I temporarily toyed with the idea of her being sexually objectified, but I decided that for her to care about such things would be incongruent with her personality. "If being leered at stopped women from doing anything, we'd all be paralyzed from cradle to grave" is still one of the lines in the story I'm most proud of, and I think it perfectly sums up how I view this matter. I don't really know how the wider toku fandom operates, I'm kinda new to toku and I mostly stick to Ultraman, but I know there are people who find what I'm writing appealing and seek out stuff like it, and this story is for them. Anyone who has a bone to pick with it can go to hell, I say! Kakakakakakakaka~!
