It's been 22 years since I last picked up a bass, or any instrument for that matter but I'm giving it a go! Call it a mid life crisis maybe or that you only live once but I've always wanted a #Fender. It's a bit more of a challenge now I'm partially sighted but I have already learnt 4-5 (easy) songs

Today at my cancer clinic with my wife, i came out with the adjusted) line from the dark knight "because shes not the hero I always deserve, but she's the hero I've always needed" when talking about how shes ever the optimist and hope Vs my over analysing catastrophising. Proud of that! #cancer #AML

Happy 14th wedding anniversary to my wonderful wife. It's not been the year we hoped, but I'm glad if I have to fight cancer, it's her by my side - she's my strength, my determination and my person to be brave for. Next year we will celebrate properly - not with a hospital visit like today!

That's 5 weeks in hospital now, including a week in intensive care. Cancers a bastard. Treatment looks like it may be helping so I'll take that positive for now. There wasn't a check for mine, but if you ever get offered a screening, take it. Early detection saves loves.

It's been a very monday-ish #Monday so time for a #dram. Bunnahabhain 11 year old Manzanilla 2008. Sweet, salty and nutty, figgy and breezy. Using the cumbria crystal grassmere tumbler 🥃 🤣 so won't do full notes this time, I'll have that in a proper glencairn.

I've been very quite on here for a while, as I suddenly became partially sighted overnight a few weeks ago. It's been a hard time for me and my family and there is no cure so far. It's put a lot of things on the back burner Inc my whisky enjoyment! I hope to adapt to this change soon. Take care all

With all the stress of the house move, we had to book a holiday to get over it. Off to #Norfolk in early May for the 1st time since I was 10! Anyone got any tips for visiting the English #Whisky Distillery? Which tours are worth doing, are there exclusive bottlings at the distillery etc?
