Activision in charge of Halo is an actual nightmare idea. I mean I know MS haven't had a clue what to do with that series for a decade but, still. That fucking blows. I'd be less torn up about it if I weren't president, treasurer and sole member of the 'Halo Infinite is good' society.

I was hyped beyond words for Halo 2 in primary school. A hanger on I didn't like tried sincerely convincing me he had Halo 2 on PlayStation. Called him out but he wouldn't buckle. HOWEVER, if the Halo 1 remake was successful enough to justify remaking 2, he could be vindicated retroactively.

I hosted my webcomic on Tapas for the first few chapter, before I switched entirely to Comicfury. Left a notice on the last page I posted on Tapas to go there instead so, this doesn't affect me much at all thankfully. RIP to a mid-ass website.

This week's episode of Strange New Worlds was fantastic. Not just by New Trek standards either, I think that might be a signified hood classic. It was tense, nuanced, deeply morally grey and the actor playing the Admiral was magnetic.

No one really talks about Dr Disrespect any more which firstly, can't imagine why, secondly, thank fuck, but even during his heyday, I didn't get him. Was his kayfabe shtick that he was lame and pretending to be cool, or was it that he was actually cool? Always unclear.

You know, last week's Strange New Worlds was a little TOO good, it's only right they follow it up with one that sucked absolute shit.

A friend's thankfully-now-ex-girlfriend ADORED the Paul Anderson Resident Evil movies (which was a decent barometer for her level of taste in general; big Harry Potter fan too), so I wonder what she thinks of the new one. I can imagine her being put off by the fact it's good.

Fair play to Raiden, he's a hundred times better at killing Metal Gears than Snake ever was. Snake took out 4 in his entire career, one of which wasn't on and another it turned out he hadn't destroyed at all. Raiden took out 15 in one boss fight and was lobbing them in the air a few years after.

With MGS Master Collection vol 2 coming out, I'm starting my long-planned playthrough of the entire series, starting with the original MSX game, which I've never really played outside of the first few screens.

I think watching the first season of The Grand Tour was weirdly a big growing up moment for me at 19 or 20, because Top Gear was embarrassing with new hosts, Grand Tour was embarrassing with the old hosts, and I realised these shows are, at their core, for children. Moving on felt freeing.

On the 24th I'll have been writing my book for a year. My goal is 500 words a day, which in truth I don't always hit, but at 376 pages so far, it averages out at just over 1 page per day, which is about 500 words, meaning it at least averages out if nothing else. I count that as a win.
