she said "you can do anything in fiction as long as the situation afterwards is more interesting that the situation before." since then i have been keeping an eye on character death in fiction. many writers seem to think that character death "raises the stakes" but actually just makes things boring

In other news, finally finished my fursona's ref sheet! At least for now until I decide to add clothes, but this will work. :D First time doing a ref, so I was learning as I go, but I'm happy with how it turned out ^^

A 2D Reference of Counterpart, my character.

Raccoon
Height 5'8"
Weight 155 lbs

There is a Front Pose, a Side Pose, and a Maw Shot (still learning those <_<;)

Ever flown through a storm? It's a crazy experience! Especially when things seem fine, but then the skies turn treacherous. Messed with painting! Went to the Fall Arts Festival in Denver whoch was a blast! Got a lot of inspiration from there as well~ Excavatober Day 4: Treacherous #Excavatober

Gotta eat on those long road trips! Day 3 of #Excavatober: Hungry Also this is the first public debut of Taro Boba now that I think about it! He was a 3D adoptable model I got in Canfurence qt the dealer's den this year! (Blanking on original maker's name, will need a proper post when I get home)

A 2D sketch of a long dragon curled up near a gas station in the wilderness eagerly awaiting a giant cheeseburger being delivered to him by his rider.

Both characters are mine. Dragon is Taro Boba and raccoon woth long tail is Counterpart.

Oh right, I forgor to post I survived \o/ Drive was pleasant! Legs started hurting near the end, but outside of that and construction it was a smooth drive! It was wild driving past my hometown on the way here. I think when I drive back I might stop by proper to check it out.
