Great day at Cheltenham Literature Festival. Rich and fun conversation with the wonderful Daze Aghaji around what Morris can mean for us today. And a dear friend who I studied botany with way back (not David Suchet😄) came to grab a post talk pint. Friendly audience helped me sell out of books too!

Just two days left to bid on this 1st edition fairy book - and to help dogs in need at the same time. The book will be signed by Wendy & Brian Froud and me, and can be posted to you anywhere. Please share to help spread the word about this auction - it's SUCH a good cause. More info in the 🧵 below.

The Sprocker Spaniel Assist & Rescue's fund-raising auction is now live. I've donated a 1st edition copy of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S FAERY TALE: a children's book by me (story), Wendy Froud (art), & Brian Froud (design), signed by all three of us. www.jumblebee.co.uk/sprockerassi... (Lot #73)

Photograph: Lottie, our own Sprocker Spaniel, with a copy of A Midsummer Night's Faery Tale. The art is by Wendy Froud, best known for her work as a puppet designer for The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, various Muppet movies, etc., as well as the creator of Yoda for Star Wars. Proceeds from this auction will help the good word of Sprocker Assist & Rescue. You can bid from anywhere in the world; we're happy to mail the signed book anywhere.
