We had three hot but fabulous days at St Alban's Holborn recording fantastic music by John Joubert with @colla-voce.bsky.social for release by SOMM Recordings next year - the brilliant Adrian Peacock and Dave Hinitt behind the desk and the wonderful Rebecca Lea and Nick Pritchard as soloists.

On 25 April, the choir of St Mary Magdalen Oxford (including me) will be singing and livestreaming the complete choral music of Thomas Tallis in 12 hours, culminating in his stunning, 40-part motet "Spem in Alium". Here's a little taster: "If Ye Love Me", plus a rare window into the Mags wardrobe.
Rehearsals start today for this @londiniumchoir.bsky.social extravaganza, and I can't wait! Ascension Vespers to be performed two days after Ascension, with fabulous winds and strings from @ecse1610.bsky.social and the Monteverdi String Band.
