She/her, cis het, music enthusiast, door & merch lady extraordinaire, into science and technology, a raging lefty, anti-fascism, ally, crafty, somewhere on the rainbow (but like a weird corner). 🧷 https://pocomoto.co.nz/

So tired, but I made it my goal to send out my little Poco Moto newsletter thingy every two weeks on a Tuesday, and so I stick with it. Always good when it has actual content of sorts.

If you go to Electric Bike Team's socials today, you'll get a glorious photo of me in my literal PJs. I live very close, and couldn't be f'd putting proper clothes when picking up my new bike. I told them they were very welcome to take a photo of me like that. I lack normal people shame.

Was just BTS working on an album release by a very sweet man whose first album release was just his family, a few mates and me. And now his major label hires part of the zoo. My heart is so full to see that.

Had to explain to W, that HE can't ask our tenant to give up his car park for aggro dude from next door, but he can get aggro dude to ask tenant directly. Power dynamics wise, you know. I explain that, and what does he do? He does ask tenant anyway, and doesn't get fuckwit to ask him directly. 🤷‍♂️

This week's food in a jar is cheesy bacon-mushroom tortellini. They look like they'll be banging! W be like, ew, FAT! Okay! They're not for you. They're for me, who appreciates the protein. My cholesterol is great, I just need good fibre and protein. The smell, tho! ❤️❤️

How to teach a type 1 diabetic child that if she MUST have plain white sugar, to close th comtainer to so ants don't get in, or the surprise of a $10 bag of peanuts falling off the open lid, exploding peanuts everywhere.

I spent some time on google street view for my home village and man, while you're there you're never aware of how tiny it is. But it's so tiny, the roads are teeny weeny tiny. Crazy. Nz roads are all SO wide.

Looking at Photocraft which seems like a good PS alternative rn. I could even import my customised keyboard shortcuts. I'm not against paying someone for a simple Photoediting programme, but so far, Photopea (also not that great) was the easiest to work with for my samey samey needs.

I know hospo is having a tough time, but I'm still going to block all accounts that pay AI slop. Would follow pubs and restaurants that pay real content, even if it was imperfect, whatever that means.

Nine years without Rufus in the world today. Funnily enough, he came up in a conversation yesterday, and I was stunned for a moment going, "speaking of which, 9 years ago this weekend..." Still miss you so much, Rufus. No one will ever be like you.

Thing I'm doing with my office - sorry, it's just a show and tell, only for my colleagues. The idea is that if you keep doing work that's mostly digital or in the mind, it's great to do something that creates something tangible every once in a while. Bonus: Our screens will be cuter.

Just adding this to various gig guides, some of which are really not great at all in terms of userfriendlyness. For Our Auckland, basically every time I'm helping someone out, I have to email them to ask what's wrong with my listing, and there's always something.

When I put the toilet seat that i hadn't put up down once again, there was shit on the lid that I hadn't left there either. Then I took two empty food boxes out of the storage cupboard that had just been left there, and I suppose I wasn't a sweetpea about any of it. My bad.
