He's no Quinn Hughes, but in garbage time last night, Zeev Buium showed he's got some wheels as well. Even if the Flyers were mailing it in by then, Buium went coast to coast and delivered a lovely backhand pass to assist on O'Connor's gimme. Nice hint of things to come for the #Canucks.
The Goldeneyes said from the outset they wanted to make the Coliseum a tough place to play for visitors. Looks like they’re doing so. 3-0 at home!

Aquilini has been a meddling influence since he took over the #Canucks in 2004. Linden wanted to rebuild the team in 2014, but Benning (on Aquilini's orders) said no. The post-Sedin era has been a miasma of atrocious hockey, an *occasional* glimmer of hope, and cash grabs that fleece the fans.
What kind of puppy dog eyes do you think Brock Boeser has right now? Buddy chose to sign with the #Canucks instead of going to Minnesota as a free agent, in part so he could keep playing with a guy like Quinn Hughes.
Like a lot of folks, I've been calling for a rebuild for quite a few seasons now. The #Canucks have FINALLY gone team tank. Now watch Pettersson wake up and put the team on his back, just enough to fuck up Vancouver's draft pick.
What do the #Canucks get? C Rossi, decent 2C. Upside: little less than a point a game. D Buium, rookie, also American, big but not a great skater. LW Ohgren, don't know much about him. 7 points in 46 career NHL games. 2026 1st round pick: Minnesota would pick 25th now, lower with Hughes for 40 GP.
There have been MANY nights in the past three seasons when Quinn Hughes was literally the only thing worth watching for #Canucks fans. Fumbling an elite talent like Quinn Hughes SUUUUUCKS. As a lifelong Canucks fan, I honestly don't know how long it'll be before I come back to the team after this.
It's days like this* I wonder if being a #Canucks fan is worth all the money, time, energy, and emotion. *That is, those with names that end with 'day'.
Rossi's a helluva decent roster add, but in Quinn Hughes we lose the most dynamic player Vancouver has had since Pavel Bure. Today is a sad day in a long, long list of sad days to be a #Canucks fan.

Hockey games do not need a DJ blasting us into atoms every puck stoppage, or bland ‘personalities’ screaming pleas for us to make some noise. Let us watch the game. Let us talk to our friends. Let us go through one fucking event without having to listen to your shitty synth bass and drums.
Queer romance, fine. But is the hockey in the show any good?
This is usually a goal that the #Canucks allow, not one they score.
