Dog mom to Bentley, my lifelong companion. The mountains are where I feel at home. I love photography, especially appreciating others’ work over my own. I fight every day for survivors and for our country. A blue dot in a red state. NO DMS
Good morning and happy National Peach Day! As the season winds down, I couldn’t resist grabbing one last basket of peaches along with a few other goodies. I’m confident these products are safe, so I’ll enjoy them without a worry. #JimmyProduce #SupporLocalFarmers thank you!!!
Happy International Dog Day 🐶 From our home to all the Doggy homes all around the world.. Bently send woofs to each!!!💓
Women waited too long and fought too damn hard to let anyone in the White House take away our rights. Happy Women’s Equality Day.
Please this does not have to happen. Just vaccinate your child.
Do not normalize children dying from measles. Measles was previously eliminated in the US, thanks to vaccines. When children die from measles, it means that adults have catastrophically failed to protect them because they have rejected basic science.
Good Foggy morning from WNC mountains. The temps are 55 degrees just a taste of fall.🎃 Have a wonderful day. Be kind smile spread some joy. 😜
Good Monday morning! Wishing everyone a great start to their week. Yesterday, I snapped some flower photos outside a restaurant in Waynesville, NC. Take a few moments today to pause and appreciate the beauty around you. Be kind.
Visited a friend’s daughter’s garden yesterday and picked a handful of fresh veggies. Knowing they’re safe made braving the heat and the ride worth it, bringing home enough to store for the winter and enjoy now. Feeling grateful! Happy Friday to all—be kind to one another and share when you can.
Hello Tuesday. Last night, a tornado swept through our little town from Bryson to Sylvia, and we’re still unsure about the damages or injuries. This morning, a bear wandered out of the woods to scavenge for some birdseed. I’m staying inside for the rest of the day—he can have the seeds! 👍👋😁
Yesterday, during a short walk, I snapped a photo of some morning glories climbing a fence. They close up at night and bloom with the sunshine, just as I happened to pass by. Happy Monday—open up, shine, and be kind.❤️🌺👋
Yesterday we started new treatments for Bentley, who has a staph infection. The shots and pills didn’t make him sick, so we’re counting that as a win. Everything I’ve done topically was spot on, now to fight from the inside out. Sending positive vibes as we take on this two-year battle. Day 1 ❤️
The vet appointment yesterday didn’t go as planned. I’m getting the side-eye—he definitely sensed something was up. We were all dressed and ready to go, but the vet had a family emergency and had to cancel. Now we have to do it all over again on Wednesday. Oooofff. Happy Tuesday to all!!!!💓
It’s that time of year in the mountains, with Black-Eyed Susans blooming everywhere. Happy Sunday to all—wishing you a day filled with peace.
Not the best picture he did not want to cooperate with me. 😁My bestie Bentley just got back from his July grooming. He hates the process but loves all the attention when he gets home. Wishing everyone a wonderful Thursday—take care of yourself and share a smile.
The moon was putting on a show last night! Wishing everyone a wonderful day—spread some kindness and find something that makes you smile. Time to look around for a bit, then back to doing chores.
Sunsets in Wyoming always took my breath away. Found this old photo from 2012. Have a great week.
Every Sunday when I lived in WA was road trip day, and this photo is from Cannon Beach. Have a great day—get out, make some memories, and relax. Whatever you’re stressing about will still be there tomorrow or may already have worked itself out. Just take care of yourself and the people you love!
Last night’s sunset at Maggie Valley overlook was a stunning display of nature’s beauty. Wishing everyone a wonderful Wednesday. Physical therapy this morning—oh, the joy and fun! I’ll check back in later. Remember to be kind to others and to yourself.
I love water pictures and being near the water. The river is fairly low at the moment, but it will rise as they release water from the dam. This is called Deep Creek—though it’s not so deep right now! Have a wonderful Sunday. I am out for the day, warming up , sun is shining!!
My first time at the West Coast beaches was a bit of a shock. It was a tough hike down to the water, but totally worth it. Second Beach, WA, 2017. Happy Sunday to all—wishing everyone a peaceful day!
When I lived in Olympia, WA, near the Capitol, there was a large lake open for everyone to walk around, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots. I always had company on those walks, the ducks who thought they owned that water and they squawked at me the entire way.♥️Go take a memory today!!📷
Not my photo. This tree reflects how I feel—I’ve fallen, but I haven’t given up. Life isn’t easy; in fact, it’s very hard. It’s a constant process of learning, often feeling like we can’t take another step, yet somehow finding the strength to keep going. I’ll always find a way to survive. ♥️
Panama Beach has incredibly beautiful white sand, and one of the nicest surprises was discovering flowers growing right in it. Taking the day to relax and recharge the mind and soul with my bestie Bentley. Go create some memories and enjoy a wonderful day!
The hiker gals went on a hike to some waterfalls yesterday. Sent me this one. I can’t tackle that trek anymore—my log-crossing days are behind me—but I’m so thrilled they thought of me. Have a wonderful Tuesday, be kind, and find your peace.
Celebrate your fluffy friends this National Puppy Day! 🐕 It’s a joyful day for my boy Bentley, who will be treated like the king he is. I can’t imagine how empty my world would be without him. I’d share puppy pics, but I rescued him five years ago when he was already five.
One of my favorite pictures will always be of the stones placed by visitors at Ruby Beach, WA. I wish I knew the story behind each one. That day, I placed three—one for a friend and one for my daughter. We were new to WA then, but we loved exploring the beaches along the West Coast.
Great Smoky Mountain hiking trail to one of the many waterfalls. I wish I had been able to go, but my friend sent me this shot. Ahhhh I can almost hear the water. Happy Sunday. Did you remember to spring forward??
So far this is my Saturday morning. Have a good day, it is going to take a few extra cups of coffee for me.. Thank you to all who are following, I am vetting and following back. Be kind to each other, share a smile.
