i am in favor of this, and @aturi.to / @anisota.net are already doing it for all bluesky posts tbh i think that entire setting should be sunset, especially when atproto spaces are added

Thanks to @aturi.to's waypoints package, it was very easy to get a list of clients to display in this popover that I now have on my website. Instead of opening the composer only in Bluesky, you can now click to write a message in an app of your choosing!

The @bsky38.com experience integrates the Aturi Waypoints package to let users choose which Bluesky client they want to open a profile in! The Waypoints package now also comes with action intent support built-in for clients that support it. aturi.to/docs

I’ve been enjoying having my agents wired up to my Bluesky account via MCP. I deployed my own Cloudflare worker to that end. If you only want/need unauthenticated read access, this gets you that super simply.

the reason I'm asking this question is because IMO users should have choice when they're clicking a link to an app.bsky.feed.post link and right now the ecosystem default is to just link to Bluesky I should be able to set a record and have apps open in mu.social or Blacksky rather than Bluesky
