Unfortunately I learned the Hiveworks Guild leadership invited the artist that had been the reason we left HW due to stalking/harassment, in spite of knowing of all the details of their abuse towards myself and others. I can not support the Guild due to their hypocrisy and withdraw solidarity.
chira 🎋@artofchira.bsky.social · 7mo agoWhile this changed my view of Isa, I had a vague hope maybe things would improve, but shortly after I fell into my own issues dealing with a fellow HW creator stalking and harassing me. We got HW involved because they were harassing our own assistants/staff which was a huge professional violation.
Unfortunately I can confirm this kind of behavior as well, from the Cartoonist Co-Op. There is a current attitude of bailing out and protecting other parties who contributed to this situation and a desire to control the current narrative that is now public. You are not getting the whole story.

The SCREEN act sounded horrible so glad it's dead for the time being, but KOSA and others are still a possibility, so don't stop fighting!

Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.
LET'S GOOOOO I'm really happy for everyone across the pond, and not only cause this could've set a very dangerous precedent worldwide
