Somewhat poorly advertised MS program in Paris: MVA master-mva.com is a 1-year research Master's, with (mostly English) courses across Maths, Vision, Learning, and an internship (that can lead to PhD). Applications open May 1 - June 30 for 2025-2026. Grants possible.

Two particularly inspiring figures were present at the AI & Democracy event organized by Make.org yesterday: Svetlana Tikhanovskaïa, a leading opponent of dictator Lukashenko, and Audrey TANG, Taiwan’s cyber ambassador and former minister of digital affairs. The entire room was blown away.

My rant of the day: You can be rejected from an MSCA postdoctoral fellowship despite scoring almost the maximum in every category and receiving virtually no negative feedback. Before I explain why this is disastrous (assuming it is a common issue), a few comments.
