This photo was taken 100 yrs ago in August 1926 during the coal strike following the General Strike We see the Quaker Boot Repairing Centre, Rhondda The centre was set up by a group of Quakers in response to the strike, leading to the establishment of the Maes-yr-Haf Settlement at Trealaw in 1927.
