Author. New to Bluesky in my professional writing capacity. Having previously written children’s books about cricket and football (soccer!), my first grown up novel - The Book Chain - is out in spring 2026.

Thoroughly enjoyable author signing at Kenilworth Books yesterday. Thank you for their warm welcome and unwavering support to local authors. It was also a great opportunity to trial my new postcards with information about The Book Chain and my social media accounts printed on the reverse.

I am looking forward to my Saturday Signing session at Kenilworth Books on Saturday 12th September. With the modern timeline set in the heart of Warwickshire, I can think of no better place. Please come and say hello. I’ll have signed copies of The Book Chain plus my special bookmarks and postcards.

Massive news about the Championship Play Offs. It’s going to be tough for Middlesbrough FC to lift themselves after all the controversy and uncertainty. Luckily George & Parmo are on hand to provide inspiring stories of resilience and teamwork for anxious Boro supporters - or players & officials!

Wonderful photos taken by Tomaz Bester of The Book Chain arriving ‘home’ at the National & University Library in Ljubljana. The historical timeline is based in the Library and the book’s opening scene takes place there, also featured on the front cover. We received such a warm welcome, thank you.

The themes of friendship & community at the heart of The Book Chain were brilliantly demonstrated at The Book Chain coffee morning hosted by my parents in Balsall Common. We even had a Book Chain cake. My reading was about the old cinema in someone’s back garden - true fact about my parents’ house!

One of the later scenes in The Book Chain takes place in the Birmingham Library. A misunderstanding in the Shakespeare Room threatens to derail Kate’s fledgling relationship. Can a canalside lunch rescue the situation? I was passing the library in rare moment of sunshine yesterday!

My book is set this week four years ago, in the first days of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Its heroes are some very brave – and very eccentric – sportspeople, who I still want the world to know about. Lots of fun cricket stories as well. Please share ⬇️ www.pitchpublishing.co.uk/shop/getting...

Today - in a run of form contrary to every technological experience in my long and challenging online life so far - I have made a number of technological breakthroughs. I now have a website, proof copies of my printed book on their way, an ebook loaded up and a Goodreads account. Wine is required!

One month to go until publication of The Book Chain! I am excited but also feeling some trepidation - I feel as if I’m in the middle of a giant jigsaw with a number of moving parts 😬 I’ve loved the journey, I love the story and I love the cover! Thank you, Elisabeth
