Legit, every time. If they ever sell these two, it will be devastating. I may have to go buy them just to make sure. Anyways - happy Friday, my friends.
Still thinking about how damn good When Words Collide was. So many incredible literary people, conversations, and ideas. I came home planning to share my seminar notes and accidentally wrote a booklet instead. The Scar Principle is free. No signup. https://hfvd.link/wwc2026-blog

I'm trying my best to live by this. Sometimes I fuck it up. Sometimes the fuck up hurts not only me, but others. Sometimes I still talk myself out of things. But I'm trying to do that less. Have a good Thursday, my friends.

Watched it last night, and hot damn did I enjoy it. The perfect amount of cringe, awkwardness, camp and action. I want a sequel for sure. 8/10 🤘
My piece “When the Grid Breaks” has been named runner-up for the 2026 Aruna D’Souza Award for BIPOC Writers through the SAAG Arts Writing Prize. Deeply grateful to The SAAG and the jury, and honoured to be included alongside this year’s writers. ❤️

Life is heavy right now, both personally and across the country. This is a tragedy. Not just a headline, not a chance to debate. My heart breaks for the community of Tumbler Ridge.
Your best work doesn’t come from peace. it comes from pressure, chaos, and maybe a little delusion. keep going. As for me? Currently running on caffeine, cortisol, and compliments. Happy Thursday, my creatives.
New year. New chaos. Here’s the plan. Mental health, music, muscles, and making cool shit with even cooler people. (And really, I should learn how to sing on key. And what a key is. Where to find it...)
Last night at The Palomino: Blue Odeur brought riffs, chaos & a Nerf gun. Tawnibias melted minds with vibes & velvet. Wish Whip hexed us all in the best way. The New Cinematics? Horror Goddeses at their best. 5🤘 out of 5🤘 My ears are still buzzing. My heart’s still full.
