Maybe its kind of like being a climate scientist who has seen all the data, just hanging around with other people who "believe you" but kind of want to get on with their day (see, metaphor of being a scientist, narc tendency? probably more that I love metaphors)

it feels like doing nothing or the very minimum is the only recourse, which triggers a kind of helplessness/hopelessness. I suppose you just have to process that it sucks, and try to forget about it until the next triggering event. Thankfully processing means "triggers" become much less triggering.

3 of my 5 siblings have displayed bi-polar symptoms, but the narc symptoms prevent them from really examining or accepting that kind of diagnosis. Ontop, one of them has cultic programming which reinforces the narc symptoms.

it's been a huge relief honestly to realize that my mother has NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) of the cover kind. By definition, she will never get a diagnosis, and understanding that that pathology is incredibly insecure, and therefore low on empathy allows me to let go of so much
