The head of PGMOL was on Sky Sports five days ago. Five days. He said Lewis-Skelly’s wrongful red card at Wolves COULD NOT be overturned because VAR ‘does not want to re referee the game.’ So why has this policy been totally 180d within five days?

This team has basically never played without Havertz or Jesus upfront. They’re going to learn on the job. Important to keep the back door closed while we do. It was always going to be ropey, but 1-0 will do. That’s the reality of the next few weeks.

As someone who has experienced becoming a parent without suffering ankle ligament damage and then rushing back and playing basically every single minute, I mostly think Martin Ødegaard is not at his best but has been still been good, occasionally poor, sometimes great, and must be exhausted.
