Excited about my new space rocks. I had a collection of one meteorite on a necklace. But tonight I was gifted two from the same strike...and four from Canyon Diablo, that came from the meteor that hit Arizona 49000 years ago. Excited to have shards from Meteor Crater!!

Just signed a contract with Broadstone Books for a second poetry collection "Carnivores and Other Lovers"...book out in July. Yayyyy to my fellow collaborators of Addison, Flores, Goyan King and Wong. Double yayyyy!!

Introduced my handsome Canada boyfriend to my father...i've been coming here since I was five years old. My boyfriend's flock was eliminated years ago, but he returned for our Easter meetup like clockwork. Ever faithful.

I got in. I cant believe it. Can't wait to do this week-long thing in a coupla months...learn some new things...meet some new minds also doing this thing....maybe feel reenergized to doing more....

Channel surfing. Caught two 1969 movies Marooned was released a few months BEFORE the real life Apollo 13 mission... Marooned so well acted, starring Gregory Peck, Richard Crenna, James Franciscus, and a really great Gene Hackman.

Its by E.E. King!! Standing in front of an amazing beautiful quietly whimsical mural outside of the Mercado de Paloma facing the DMV parking lot....find it and enjoy!! Then go eat inside the James Beard Michelin star mercado.

My play is still touring. And a vlogger made this...with permission from the producing theatre. I really appreciated this!! It's the first time a local social media influencer paid attention to my work...very cool. Check it out.

My unlikely pick for Best Picture is Del Toro's FRANKENSTEIN. What does it mean to be human, watch it on Netflix and find out. The score is Oscar-worthy gorgeous and it's my pick for Best Director and Best Adapted screenplay.

Resiliency Day, Jan 17, honoring the 11 who were killed in a mass shooting at the nearby ballroom...many events centering wellbeing...including a meditation poetry workshop led by me.

Last minute I dusted off the tongue drum, not knowing how to incorporate it in my meditative poetry workshop...glad I did, it inspired beautiful words...and use of a mic to fill the room with healing power...

Manifesting joy and blessings. With a sunset and prasad. While putting our shoes on, we met the lovely Kiran. Who invited us to return to the mandir for Diwali in October. We ran into her again and she shared with us some special sacred fruit, a gift of a prasad blessing. Thank you Kiran.

Am leading a meditation poetry workshop later today as part of Resiliency Day events in my hometown, a suburb of L.A., that suffered a mass shooting that lilled 11 at a dance studio on lunar new year in 2023. The power of poetry to heal.
