Austin-Mero at KOTR 96 is a great match. Not just in Star Rating but because it's fascinating to watch back still. Notable portion of crowd rooting for heel Austin as he dominates much of the match. He's got down the swaggering, the stomping around, the ultra-aggressive, truly mean attitude now.

It’s kind of amazing how I just a matter of years, ESPN made GameDay unwatchable. At one point it was the network’s most popular show. Now, they play to an audience of people who detest the sport but thrive on the Barstoolification of it all.
Watching KOTR 96. I’m honestly far less excited to relive 2 hours and 50 minutes of Owen Hart’s kid brain bullshit on commentary than I ever will be to hear Art Donovan have a good time and be in awe of all the WWF Superstars and their astounding physiques.
Is this the show where Austin becomes big enough to be the supporting act in D-X's WWF counterattack that won the Monday Night War?
I say this with a growing appreciation for his reliability and routinely solid work but I wonder if Mike Rotunda had an actual thought go through his mind during a wrestling match after 1993? The most autopilot a wrestler has ever wrestled.
still a lot of internet belief that Michael Hayes did vocals for WWF Superstars 1995-96 intro song(s), despite the fact we have a lot of footage of ol' Dok singing and it sounds nothing like him. It was Big Al Anderson, who was legit and played guitar for Jeff Jarrett's "live performance" in '95

ooh, this is the match where they started talking about an "Armstrong Curse." (WCW Pro, 6/22/96)
Put on the 1990 Notre Dame-Michigan game for background. Hell of a ballgame. Not even being relentlessly assaulted by DraftKings, FanDuel, Kalshi, or that new one where Sydney Sweeney is doing her increasingly boring ass gimmick
Bobby Heenan is me a decade later trying to explain away some wonky looking shit Ian Rotten tried to do
Six days after Arn Anderson turned on Kevin Sullivan at The Great American Bash, they aired a new Worldwide with Anderson and Sullivan teaming, and had to keep explaining that it was recorded prior to the PPV. usually they could edit to try to ignore an issue but not this one.
