Not to be fun-free, but I hope they make the ban on disposable barbecues permanent. Horrible, anti-social, litter-causing, injury-causing things
Did I ever tell you about the short stint I did working at the balloon factory? The whole thing was a massive let-down
I am LOVING all these pictures of colanders - keep 'em coming, lads
I'm nearly convinced our new build house is haunted. House is only 15 years old and yet seems to have a very naughty ghost in it, one which keeps making noises that wake me up in the night.
for those of you who enjoy Easter foods (me) I have discovered, through extensive research, that M&S do their 'speckled chocolate eggs' all year round
Nearest HMV to me, in Belfast, is surprisingly good for books - and might even be better for some things than the nearest Waterstones
Would not even pay 2p a month to use Facebook. Would be like paying money to have somebody to fling toxic sludge in your face
Had to set up a new Facebook account for purposes to do with my day job. Got offered the chance to use Facebook ad-free, the cost? £2.99 a month!
I can't tell you how much trouble I'd get into at work if one of my projects crashed into the moon
SpaceX shares are down by half from their June peak as investors worry Musk may have oversold them on its future prospects.
idea for a writing residency where I get paid to read books and think of ideas. please note: I don't have to do anything with the ideas, I just have to think of them. length of residency: until retirement
There's almost nothing funnier than watching a little tiny dog chasing a seagull along a beach, genuinely thinking it is going to catch it
get her to fly Ryanair, sit her in a window seat
Evangelist Whitney Lynn says she preaches on planes because she loves “a captive audience.” She's not alone. It's becoming a trend. If spreading your message requires listeners who can't escape, maybe it's not as compelling as you think. www.friendlyatheist.com/p/christian-...

Are there any other poems that have been made into films? Could Nolan have a crack at "This is just to say"?
Wasted all my rage tokens trying to buy a ticket through the Translink Planner app

THE BAT'S A CUTE LITTLE ANIMAL: WIGGLES ITS EARS AND EATS WORMS (Evansville Press, Indiana, January 14, 1909)
lots of hot chick action in my back yard (baby birds having a go at flying for the first time)
It's so weird that people warm to politicians exactly because they give the vibe that they're not politicians, that they have no expertise in politics, that they are not like the others. In no other aspect of life would that be true. "Oh let me book this plumber who knows fuck all about boilers"
so glad everybody is having good viewing experiences of The Odyssey. my screening was semi-feral. People getting up to walk around, apparently getting lost, standing in front of the screen for long periods, etc. Including one guy who couldn't find his way back to his seat and nearly sat in my lap
We just created a new starter pack! go.bsky.app/BxeHS6p
Watching Aquaman, at the point where Jason Momoa appears for the first time - shirtless, I seem to remember - a girl on the row behind us shouted out: "Oh my God, he is sooooooo hot"
Got me thinking.. What's the strongest reaction you've seen an audience member have to a scene in a cinema? During the birthday party scene in SIGNS I saw a whole row of young women literally throw their popcorn in the air like a cartoon.
Love reading the safer spaces guidelines for radical venues and trying to work out their origin stories. For example, one place near me that has the guideline "please refrain from addressing the entire room unless you are hosting an event"
Got to work this morning, noticed my dress was torn under the arm. Said to myself, "that's not so bad, I'll just keep my arm down all day so nobody notices." Which I did. Got home, took it off, planning to repair it: noticed there was also a huge rip on the BACK of the arm, too
Nothing screams "I'M GUILTY!" more than a huge press conference saying you've done nothing wrong
Congratulations to me for finding out, twelve years after her first book was published, that you're meant to add ISBN numbers into your artist CV so that they can check your books actually exist
