🚨 Every year 443 children are injured on the school run in London. That’s the same number of children as a large primary school. 😢 Every injury has a lasting impact on the child and family. This isn’t right. Agree? Support our #streetsforkids campaign www.solvetheschoolrun.org/streetsforkids

Thank you to everyone who attended the Vigil for Irene Leardini this evening. Good to see members of the press, Lewisham Council and our local MP attend. We'll be writing to TfL to try to engage in some sort of dialogue about the A2. Hopefully we won't have to do this again.

Incredible work universe in setting it up today for a cinematic cycle with my neighbours to a community meeting. Managed to pass the @lewishamcyclists.bsky.social cargo bike (and rider) on the way out and then happen upon a @wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk session packing up on the way back.
Having to leave the workspace where we have run a community cycle workshop for nearly a decade now. Delivering bike fixing, bike maintenance training, refurbishing old bikes and passing them on. All for those on lower incomes in the area. A few memories here.
Fines from speeding go to the Treasury. Cox is putting out deliberate disinformation. And also, speeding is not law abiding by definition.
I believe it comes down to drivers ignoring the speed limit.
And just like that, more than a decade of bike repair workshops in Deptford at Ron Hoskin Hall come to an end. Thanks to everyone who's helped over the years. Mechanics, Volunteers and supporters. You're all wonderful. Here's to the next chapter, wherever that is.

I live in a suburban town, and when you gently suggest that perhaps drivers slow down, or, gasp, we install something like a speed hump on a street, drivers act like they've been personally insulted.
