Are you feeling lucky? Wrapped in our traditional brown paper and string, our lucky dip books are back! In all honesty, you don't even need to be that lucky because all our lucky dips are taken from our excellent stock selection - some signed, some first editions, a lot of lovely hardbacks too.

NEW - 48 HOUR ORDERING! We've struck a new deal with our wholesaler so when you order books with us they arrive within 48 hours! (Courier depending!) So if there are particular titles you know you want, drop us a line and we'll get them in for you ASAP. Poor Jeff. Poor poor Jeffrey.

Thirsty? We've always given out free hot and cold drinks to visitors to the shop, and if you just want to kick back in one of our armchairs for an hour you're more than welcome! We love it when folk read on site, so if you want to bring a book in from home that's cool too.

TypeReno is NEARLY THERE! Oh who are we kidding? We'll be working on the place for months - but it's about good enough for us to move in and we'll be open at 22 Bruntsfield Place from 11am on the 7th of July! In the mean time do buy books from the old shop on Haddington Place!

WANNA MAKE A ZINE? On our risograph zine-making workshop you get to learn how to make a simple cut-and-fold zine printed in two colours on our risograph machine and you get 20 copies to take home with you!

Introducing TypeRENO! That's right, gang, we're painting the new shop ourselves - and I reckon we're absolutely crushing it! So far we've managed to get a base coat on the whole place, a second coat of white in the backroom and a first coat of red in the front - the place is coming alive!

WE'RE MOVING SHOP! That's right gang, the time has come for Typewronger to emerge, blinking, into the daylight - and as some of you might have noticed we've just signed a lease on our first full premises! Come July we'll be moving in to number 22 Bruntstfield Place - come find us there!
