Can someone explain to me why the world cup games aren't being played in prime time in the local markets? I thought that holding the tournament in North America was in part to grow the game further. 3pm eastern isn't grabbing the eyeballs that it could at 7pm or 8pm

Here's the thing. We all know there's little to no chance that all the prospects are going to end up playing with the #Habs. Literally, what makes this a good problem to have is talent evaluation can separate what will fit with the future needs and what can be used a trade capital. So weaponize it.

Be patient... The #Habs went to the conference final. Suzuki is midway through his contract and not getting younger. What good are all these amazing, team friendly deals if we just keep kicking the can further down the road. ... and the Atlantic isn't getting any easier.

I'm of two minds. While I am greatful that HuGo has done such a fantastic job signing our core to team friendly, long-term deals, but I also feel that being so economical has lulled them into a false sense of apprehension when big game hunting. They seem to get paralysis when needing to spend. #Habs

So disappointing. So many of these assets that the #Habs have aren't even going to have a sniff at the #Habs line up but are NHL quality. Identifying who is part of the organization and those who aren't is part of the trade process in making the team better.

All these prima-donna American stars trying to collude to play in highly saught after destinations are only making it difficult for their American compatriots. All the Canadian and all the smaller, less desirable American teams are going to highly scrutinize drafting American players.

I heard a great take on TSN radio. If a player has a NTC or a NMC, they've earned the right to not get traded by the team unless approved. But if you ask for a trade, the clauses should get thrown out the window. These US players dictating things are getting out of control.

Someone just reminded me that Dylan Larkin is also a member of the Kash Patel Posse, along with such wonderful folks as Jack Eichel, Auston Matthews and the Tkachuks. That's a hard pass. The last thing I would want around Lane Hutson and Cole Caufield is one of these dudes.

With that performance, and with where they're standing in the group, there aught not be any REAL/TRUE Canadian that can legitimately cheer for anyone but Canada at the #Fifa #2026worldCup Yes, I'm speaking at all you European immigrants. Exchange those ugly car flags for the only one that matters.
