The Nation’s Report Card has disappointed many, especially as scores are compared pre- and post-COVID. Viewing results through this binary lens isn't the best way to identify what's needed. We should prioritize gathering insights directly from students. Their voices are needed now more than ever.

Many children face adversity, including abuse, neglect, and family challenges. Multilingual learners may endure war, persecution, or perilous journeys. Prioritizing their safety, inclusion, and empowerment through a strengths-based, empathetic approach is crucial for their well-being and success.
